Petzl ASAP 40 Kit

Petzl’s ASAP 40 Kit is a pre-assembled and ready-to-use personal fall arrest system. This kit includes a mobile fall arrester, an energy absorber, and a connector.

Installed on a lifeline, this mobile fall arrester follows the user as they move, whether on an inclined or vertical surface. In case of a shock load or sudden acceleration, they lock onto the lifeline and stop the worker, even if grabbed during the fall.

The ASAP 40 assembly is ANSI Z359.15 compliant only when used with RAY 11 Rope (with or without sewn termination; sold separately).

  • Integrated locking function allows the user to immobilize the device in order to reduce the potential fall distance. In the event of a strong wind, this function also prevents the rope from being blown upward
  • Connection arm makes the system drop-resistant when passing intermediate anchors

  • Allows the user to keep the rope at a distance to free up the work area and protect the rope from sharp tools and harmful contact points
  • Tearing of the energy absorber webbing limits the impact force on the user
  • Designed for users who weigh between 50 and 130 kg (110 lbs – 286 lbs)
  • Durable fabric pouch with opening system at each end protects the energy absorber from abrasion or contaminants while allowing for regular inspection of the absorber
